Don't know who that is and not even giving it any interaction. fvck them. VAMOS GATOS.

They paid anyone from Jersey on Cameo to congratulate them on winning.

Congrats, Canes, you sure burned the Devils and fans.

No one likes Firedouche Ed anyway

Yeah, I wasn’t impressed with him at all.  Looked like a specialist than a top Pairing defenseman in these playoffs.

IMO, Marino has established himself as the best all around defender on this team, at least temporarily until Luke explodes

marino was my favorite d this year. he has been solid all year/playoffs.

Hopefully we strap Kevin Bahl to a chair this summer, Clockwork Orange style, and just show him video of that one shift he had against the Rangers where he crushed everything in his path over and over and over

Incredibly disappointed with Siegenthaler’s play for months. Bitterly disappointed with that absolutely idiotic pass by Tatar, who should know much better as a veteran player. Shaking my head at Graves for not clearing Kotkaniemi from the net front.

Just sick to my stomach right now. That team was beatable. The Devils decided to join the series far too late. Ran out of gas, I guess. fvcking hell.

The only thing that he doesn’t bring is much offense, but I’m not asking him to. He’s definitely an unsung hero type.  Does so many of the little things incredibly well.

Fast was on the left side too and it was Gravesy's side there. @NJDevils1214 and the COL fans I think were on to something regarding just his overall playoffs.

I might even go back and watch every playoff game in the replays before my ESPN+ runs out and try to track some of the defensemen and their shifts. Check their possession numbers because I would bet that Graves regression hit just as we were coming into the playoffs.

I was just saying that it's not all on Graves, but that may have really killed us. I don't know if Graves just gets fatigued maybe by this time of the year, maybe he was playing hurt, but yeah.

Can't be held down by players who simply aren't going to get us there.

You’re a better person than I if you do that, I won’t look back. I hated how they showed up this series cause we knew what they were capable if they played even 75% of their potential. They only delivered that effort or greater twice in five games, that hurts.

but they’ll learn. This is absolutely not the 2018 team.

They. Will. Be. Back.

Siegenthaler sucked this entire game so only fitting he deep sixes us in OT

Rough game for sure, but he did make one of the best defensive plays of the night stopping a clear breakaway.

Lindy confirms in the post game that Jack played though an injury tonight and was surprised he played. He refused to come out of the lineup.

I fvcking love this kid so much. Nico might wear the C but this is Jack’s team.

Most of it but I don’t think I’ve ever soured on a player faster than I have with Jesper Bratt this past month.  He was so timid and meek in every single game he played and this is while he’s playing for a big contract.  He didn’t even look interested most of the time.   What will he do after he gets paid?

I know he still has a lot of value so you can’t just dump him but I’m at the point where I think Fitzgerald should just qualify him and then trade him after Christmas after he’s racked up a ton of points in the fall when no one cares.   After what we just saw, I don’t see how he should ever be allowed to wear a Devils jersey in another playoff game ever again.  We absolutely can’t get tied down to this muffin for any type of high salary/long term contract.

Yeah I don’t think he ever truly fully settled in here.  I get the feeling he’s going to have a hell of a season next year.

he didn't fully settle in here, it's clear as day.

now: we just need to retain the guy and keep him here--which is a different story all together.

I actually thought he played really well tonight tbh.

He played well EXCEPT the absolutely lousy effort getting in the shooting lane on Carolina’s second goal, with 38 seconds to go in a period we dominated. It was a back breaker of a goal to give up.

One guy who is hard to criticize but you just want to see him play like a first overall pick is Nico. He plays offense like he’s a fourth line plug sometimes when you know he’s got the skill to take over in the O zone. You’d like to see his confidence on the puck be more assertive.

Well, I think the people who are advocating for passing on Bratt need to really think about who is going to come in and replace him and start voicing that opinion because it's regular season production that is going to get you to the playoffs.

You subtract Bratt and some young guy doesn't come in and fill those shoes or you stand pat after losing Bratt, you are looking at missing playoffs again.

Just sayin', it better be a good return or a good player coming our way that you have in mind or you are going to have a hard time convincing people.

I'm not saying pass on him, but I am saying don't give him 8+ million a year.

Not really.  It’s not about the return as much as it is about keeping quality depth as opposed signing one guys who has been a ghost for the last month to top dollar.  Cap space is more valuable than anything in todays NHL and you don’t waste it on a guy who I didn’t see win a single 50/50 battle for a puck along the boards all night.

This argument of we drop Bratt so we can afford McLeod/Haula/Bastian is silly. They don't/won't earn the same, even if Bratt takes less money to stay here.

And you just simply dodgeball'd my question. Haula and McLeod are not going to replace Bratt's production, I don't care how much you pay them.
