Also nothing says fan appreciation night like not having enough bobbleheads for everyone in attendance. We only appreciate you if you can get here early enough before we run out of them. I'm not even a baseball fan but I know the Phillies give promotional items out to all fans in attendance. Don't think it's unreasonable to expect a team on "fan appreciation night" to have enough bobbleheads for everyone in attendance. They sure a sh!t can afford it after the ticket increases. Yeah I posted the same sentiments, re: Fitz admitting that this season was a disappointment, and not making excuses for it. I honestly believe he'll take ownership of this. I think it's also fair that he address sticking with Lindy too long and being so radio silent when his team needed him. He CAN recover from this, starting with being brutally honest about a season gone wrong, and with the right hires, moves, and tweaks Fitz can make this a one-year hiccup, but right now he's going to have his doubters, and he brought a good chunk of that unto himself. After being quite the fair-haired boy of the 2023 offseason, he's back to having to prove himself to a lot of fans (and I'm sure some media). After this game, the offseason thread will probably consist of everyone continuing to vent about the same things; not much will change about that until we start to have actual moves to react to. But once Groan & Co are booted out, at the least the process/purge will have begun, and it NEEDS to. It hasn't been easy watching a guy who quickly proved that he had no business being anything more than an interim warm body with the knowledge that he was going to finish out the year no matter what. Re: Sarge, who knows if this is under consideration, but I want him to get the Utica HC gig, and start some on-the-job training in that capacity. No ‘I need to evaluate’. No Tom, you don’t. Send these coaches packing TONIGHT. TO. NIGHT. Also- Fitz WILL be on the pregame. Not that I expect him to say much, but be on the lookout for clues.
