I hear you and totally understand where you’re coming from. I don’t have this surge of overwhelming enthusiasm about it either. For me, I want to go to not only support the team but to support the franchise and the League’s decision to market our club, to promote our stars. A lot of empty seats at this thing and the league and tv partners may say ‘fvck it, we aren’t going to give the Devils much attention/support anymore’ (which is how we’ve been treated much of the Devils’ existence). We are at this launching pad for the club where popularity can really take off. The children of the cup era are now adults, we have an exciting team, great rink. I just want the damn game to help catapult this momentum of growth we are seeing. An embarrassing number of empty seats just is a bad look which is why I’m going to go and help do my part. But I get why people aren’t that interested.
