centralnj
I have to say, these last few days have been so nice! I'm so happy and relaxed lol. I love the Playoffs, but find them very stressful. I'm going to enjoy this while I can, and then back to the stress of watching this amazing run! Love this team so much, they give me so much pleasure! Do you all feel the same way? Everyone have a great weekend, and then LETS GO DEVILS!
Onddeck
well i am half relaxed, and have frantic worrying about getting tickets hahaha
skeeter
I slept 10 1/2 hours last night. I'm just happy to be here. After that first round, having to deal with the Flyers in the second round, and the overwhelming emotional rollercoaster of the third round, I haven't got a care in the world right now. I'm sure that will change if we get to a game 6 or 7 though.
BlueSkirt
absolutely thrilled. we ended the entire '94 thing by a) winning, b) in game 6, c) in OT. Now were onto the Final. it's been euphoric since that win
HellOnICE
What a day this has been, What a grand mood I'm in... I've worked all weekend after going to game 6, and I'm still on cloud 9, 10, 11 and 12.

Revan
I just want the Finals to start. Im ansy to watch this team win some more. Nah, I want to bask in the moment a little bit more. I gotta admit, I haven't really thought about the Kings series much yet (except maybe arguing with some prophets on the internet proclaiming the Kings champions already). Spent the weekend just recollecting Friday's game and the whole run. We put the whole '94 thing to bed! Can you believe it? That being said, I probably wouldn't mind them starting on Tuesday. Wednesday seems a little distant, but well. The only thing I'm worried about is I'll probably miss Saturday's game, cause a friend is throwing a b-day party. And then, IIRC, another one has birthday next week, so I'll have to come up with an excuse to miss one, but can't just ignore both.
thelastonealive
The timing of the series win was nice. A good long holiday weekend to enjoy it before getting back into the grind Tuesday. (And I understand we're not players, but dammit, the playoffs are a mental and physical grind on us too!)

DevilMinder
I didn't sleep at all on Friday night and now I am just recovering. Today would have been game 7 and we would have been nervous wrecks. The absence of that stress is amazing, haha

(And I understand we're not players, but dammit, the playoffs are a mental and physical grind on us too!) I find watching these games more mentally and emotionally taxing then either my ice or my floor hockey duties....so I'm with you on that.....as much as I bust my ass on ice and work every shift....I am 1000% more exhausted after these Devil games! Speaking of, you still do roller/street hockey? I'm looking to get involved in a semi-regular game if it's local - need to drop some poundage and get in better shape, might as well do it in an entertaining way. devilsrule33
I was so stressed last round that this 5-day break has been a welcome. Usually I can't wait for the next game, but this was surely needed. Funny saying this as a fan and not a player but that's the reality of a fanatic.

We have a semi-regular group up in Kearny (a few of the Devils generals run it)....it's usually Saturday mornings at 11, but not sure about the next two weeks and it happening that and I'm in an ice league which helps too
ghdi
Today would have been game 7 Ugh. Can you imagine the last two days of 1994 bullsh!t had we gone to a game 7? fvck that.
SterioDesign
Personally my expectation for the team was to make it to game 6 from the 2nd round... so they exceeded my expectations and i would have been okay with any result after that... BUT ! then they got the RANGERS, so i was not okay anymore with any result lol they HAD to win! now i feel really relax... i dont hate the kings, i dont know any real kings fan who could give me sh!t, of course i want the Devils to win but if they dont it wont be heartbreaking cause they lost against a team that i hate or something, so im pretty calm
Devlin
Feeling great and relaxed Just finished up buying the new Devs gear...shirts, hats etc! Devils flag has been flying outside the house and officially put my old devils flag onto the back window of my truck. Much needed break away from the game! I made it through all of the series w/out having an Fn heart attack! lol
capo
yeah... I would have to say given the fact that I would be really freaking stressing right now... It's nice to relax... Played outside with the kids and didn't even think about this stuff. Come game 1 everything will be back on. By Tuesday I'll be pretty antsy... '7'
I actually think I'd be more relaxed for a game 7 vs the kings than ANY of these past Ranger games. Glad we have two more days to bask in the glory a bit... Edited May 28, 2012 by '7'
Devs1965
I'm sorry guys, I know the goal is to win the cup! Which don't get me wrong I still want that but after beating the Rangers in 6 I don't want this feeling to end, it almost feels after beating the Flyers then the Rangers, I don't know how to describe it. C'mon Devs let's finish this and bring home the cup so we can show the whole area who the best hockey team is! Let's Go Devils!

But I can't wait for Game 1 - I'll be able to watch this game and enjoy it, as opposed to this past series, where every game was full of dread. I agree with you on the dread - it was just so much energy required. But I wouldn't go so far as to say you are going to enjoy it. It won't be a relaxing hockey game by any means for any of us. centralnj
I just hope the team doesn't subconsciously let down after the emotionally draining win over the Rangers. You see it happen all the time. DeBoer does an excellent job of getting them focused and ready to play, so I'm not too worried. I'm going to enjoy the next two days, then gear up for Game 1. I actually pulled a muscle in my side when I jumped off the couch after Henrique's goal!
ghdi
Game 1 will be a walk in the park emotionally for me unless we play like sh!t. Im much more confident heading into this series than either of the last two. We defeated our biggest rivals on the biggest stage possible and now we get a chance at a Cup against a California team who we match up with very well at every aspect. These Flyer and Ranger series' were excruciating, espc after dropping the first game in each.
