bobilly45
Hes not any better then Kinkaid. He won on Tampa bc of the team in front of him.
titans04
not sure he can possibly be worse than the junk we currently are rolling out most nights plus he's basically free.

NJDfan1711
Weird acquisition, but he was pretty solid as a backup for Tampa last year. I saw him play a lot live, and he's definitely capable. Question is, is he just going to sit in Binghamton?

Listen - he can't be worse than Cory. And we didn't pay a thing for him. Can't complain I guess!
Neb00rs
He's only 27 and his numbers are better than Cory's in the past three years. For the price, I'll take it. Hopefully things turn around in net before he ever has to play. Edited November 1, 2019 by Neb00rs
Satans Hockey
Can he stop a beach ball? If so, what a steal! 1
SterioDesign
maybe there's a trade coming sending one of our goalie somewhere?
Daniel
Bingo’s goaltending has been atrocious, so he should help there if for anything else.
Devils01
Get him in that crease ASAP.
Devil Dan 56
If I had to guess, insurance for if Cory is "injured" again. And not for nothing, but I have no idea why they went into this season with Cormier as third on the depth chart.
2ELIAS6
move Cory for a breakfast at Dennys and make this guy blackwoods back up Edited November 2, 2019 by 2ELIAS6

Because they had already spent a bunch of lower picks on other positions and trading another one, even if later in the draft, for an experienced AHL goalie, wasn't exactly top priority. There were rumors they were looking for one early on iirc, but it wasn't a pressing matter.
JohnnyP.
Schnieds is one more bad start away from a a mysterious injury. That injury will likely be announced Sunday....

I said several times in the off season that an Eddie Lack level guy (yes I know he's injured) would be decent insurance for an often injured 33 year old and an inexperienced rookie. I'm not sure an Eddie Lack level guy was a better choice going into the season than giving Senn and Cormier a chance to get some experience. I'm still not. .894 (Senn) and .901 (Cormier) are not disastrous save percentages in the AHL this early into the season and are certainly better than Domingue's .863 in 4 gp. None of those numbers are bad enough to conclude anything yet really. And at least of the current FA goalies, there's no one available that presents a very good option, hence the trade for Domingue, a guy who is better than Lack...probably.
