Plus they both could just re-sign with us in the summer if we really miss them. Zajac may just see this as his chance to make a run. Obviously efforts to extend Palmieri failed. Maybe Travis wasn’t offered the opportunity to return, maybe he was and he passed. I certainly don’t get too excited about players doing well other places, but it was nice to see a guy like Coleman win the Cup. If they’re in the finals anyway might as well root for them. I know John Carlson was late first round, but that's in the late 2000s. It's definitely a longshot to get an impact player there. But it does happen once in a while. Rooting for the Isles when the placement of the pick we just traded for hangs in the balance, that I shall not do.
