"I like that! Wayne and I came into the league at the same time and I ended up 3500 points behind him."

Yep. It’s at the 6:24 mark of the Ruff clip if you want to hear it for yourself.

Really like palat a lot, always personable with the fans. Last night inbetween periods he was in the players tunnel fist bumping the kids and I always see him doing this. Some of the other guys won’t even come out into the hall until last minute then intentionally speed walk past.

Only 2 games and Lindy already tinkering.

That line was pretty bad though.

And it’s still very early but Holtz is again starting to look like the guy who drags down whatever line he’s on.  There’s a reason he got less ice time than everyone else on Friday.

Hope he starts to get it going.

Did he ever come back after taking that puck to the face?

At one point during the game, I had to pee so bad that I couldn’t wait anymore…I just had to look up what happened to him (that must have happened while I was in the damned bathroom).  I saw that he was involved in a collision with a pair of coyotes and left the ice with a towel on his face.

If it's for some really low, prove it AAV, why not?  If the people who work with him every day are convinced he's going to be a good one, why not lock him up now when he has like 25 games of experience to hang his hat on in negotiations?

The fan in me wants to slip him an extra 3 million or so just for what he did against the Rangers.

Nope they go down for their teammates lack of effort. If they have a problem with it they should be vocal and pissed off in that room. One person fvcks up everyone pays the price until they get it right.

"Jack, see if you can get these two going please"

Guess this becomes the "Things that make you go HMM" line...

Almost feels like Hughes is being punished and tossed off of his line which has been working hard to pick up the work of two slackers at the moment.

It's early in the season, and only one line is really doing much offensively at the moment, so why not see if changing up the Top 6 can get things going?

It's not like Lindy can't go back to Toffoli-Hughes-Bratt at some point during Friday's game if need be.

Kinda turned out to be a bonus that the Devils only have one game over the next several days.  Lots of time to work on things.

I still think this team will bank 100+ points by season's end.  Easy to overreact to early season short samples (not that anyone here is really doing this).  There's teams that get off to pretty good starts and fade (see some of the recent Devils teams, prior to last season's), and others who need time to sort things out before they truly get rolling.

I do like that Lindy appears to have adjusted his approach to where he and Fitz think the Devils should now be...no more seemingly endless patience.  He's clearly going to come down hard on them when he thinks it's needed.  Might even be more effective coming from him because it's not like he's just one of those coaches who's always losing his sh!t.
