"Alexander Vasyunov and Mattias Tedenby each scored his first NHL goal Friday, marking the first time the Devils had two players accomplish that feat in the same game since Denis Pederson and Jason Smith on Oct. 12, 1995 against the Winnipeg Jets"

IMO, Brodeur needs to play like the one he played against the Canes in game 5 of 09 playoffs. 44 saves in a 1-0 win.

Who cares if we win or lose. Our season's over. If any of you haven't noticed we've only got 12 points and 14 teams ahead of us

There is no way we can get back into any competitive shape points-wise. It's great to say we're only 5 points out of

a playoff spot but that's only if every other team in our conference doesn't play. We're irrelevant.

And for those who were excited about the win over Edmonton, I couldn't have been more disappointed.

The Oilers were thoroughly thrashed by every team on their away trip. To win a comeback game in OT

against a team that was getting manhandled is ridiculous and embarrassing. If we were truly competitive

we would have won that game by at least a few goals.

Just the truth. Show me a team post-lockout that has had a record similar to the Devs have right now who made it

into the playoffs that season.

2007/08: With the NHL making a league wide change in the way jerseys are made with the new "swift jerseys' the Capitals took an opportunity to go back to the past with a modernized version of their original star spangled red white and blue jerseys, with the famous Capitals script that was worn form the franchises first 20 years. The Capitals decked in red, white and blue splendor got off to a fast start, winning their first three games, but it would not last as the Capitals won just 6 of the first 21 games http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nhl/washington/capitals.html

Caps finished with 94 points that year

Wow! One team in 6 seasons. That sure boosts my confidence.

What the hell is this?? lmao i feel like a fan in any sport wouldnt give up on their team not even 1/5th of the way through the season. we all know the start of this season has been less than what we wanted... but yo right now we are 5 points out of the playoffs and if you really think that "there is no way we can get back into any competitive shape points-wise" you're fvckin out of your mind

GO DEVS
