Popular Post Colorado Rockies 1976
Devils can obviously really pull off something amazing and incredible on Saturday. We know the deal...the Rangers made the kinds of moves that scream "We'd better make a SERIOUS fvcking run at this thing, RIGHT NOW! Making the playoffs was a foregone conclusion...no honorable mentions there. Winning a round or even two rounds isn't really enough. A Conference Final appearance is pretty good, but we want to at LEAST GET to the SCF! Anything less than that will not be seen as a win by our fans nor this franchise!" So this is NOT just an encouraging series win for our young upstart Devils, should they pull this off. Is it a beautiful step forward? Of course. But it's more what this does to the Rangers...for them, this is an absolute crusher, the kind of disaster that will stick with them for an entire offseason. Panarin will hear it. Zibane-bad will hear about it. No one will remember Kreider lighting it up on the power play early on. They'll have wasted a year of firmly-in-his-prime Shesterkin, and surely some will start to remember how the Rangers found ways to waste Lundqvist's prime years, when he had a four-year run where he did all that he could to give his team Stanley Cup Championship-level goaltending, and simply deserved better. The Ranger faithful will be getting ornery and plenty restless, and even better, would have to watch the team that killed what was supposed to be a big-time all-in season for them move on to the next round...ON THEIR HOME ICE! Does it get any better? fvck no! And fvck THEM! All of those dumbass "Duuuuuuuh Brawdway Noo Yawk Tradition!" Ranger fans. They deserve nothing but more disappointment and failure and misery, and we root for just the team that can make that happen! So L G M F D! Beat them! Send everyone home that's associated with them unhappy and angry and bewildered! CRUSH! THEIR! DREAMS! DO IT! FINISH THEM! nessus
4 wins in a row, after giving the Rags and their fanbase hope that this would be an easy series for them, would be one of my top moments as a Devils fan in the past decade. RunninWithTheDevil
Get it done. Go in there and put up the same effort and they'll have no problem. I want to see them absolutely humiliated. I want our boys to stand on their stupid fvcking logo while they're walking to the locker room.
Devil Dan 56
Don’t take your foot off the gas, just go in there and play like you did the last 3 games. This isn’t over yet and we can not let them back into this series

I think the reaction for the Rangers will be a little different if they battle back tomorrow and then lose a close game 7 but IF the Devils can pull this off tomorrow night, I think there will be a seismic overreaction by everyone involved with their franchise that will be on par with the Tim Wilson incident.
Devilsfan118
Let's go boys - get this thing done. Rangers are reeling, without words after last night. They're down for the count - now step on their throats. LFGD!!!! 2
njbuff
Don let them up. As we all know game 7’s are a crapshoot and home ice in this case means nothing. Do what Godzilla does to King Ghidorah when he has him down……. CRUSH THROATS.

I'm not thinking beyond Game 6 until there's something more to think about. I need to see the Rangers force a Game 7 first...not saying that they can't, just that I need to see Game 7 become a thing. BUT as far as "Ranger Disaster Scenarios" go, on a scale of 1-10: Losing Game 6: Lost four straight after winning the first two in very convincing fashion, went winless on their home ice, saw the hated Devils advance to the next round on same home ice, a pair of all-in right-now deals ultimately not helping...that's absolutely an 11. Winning Game 6/Losing Close Game 7: At least staved off being eliminated in front of their fans, but STILL lost a first-round series in a year where much more was expected, went out fighting to take it to 7 but still ultimately lost to a hated rival...that's more like a 9, but still pretty brutal. Either way I can't see anyone in Rangerland trying too hard to look for silver linings no matter how the Devils beat them...especially after having been up 2-0 and appearing to be in complete command.
Marv4Life
Huge test for our NJD tomorrow. Gotta be prepared, focused and on point. You're on ABC so it's time to prove that you can be taken seriously. Get it done, son.

It's telling the Rangers that they have to go through us now if they want to win a cup. That is a brutal statement to make in our division.

NJCroMag
Dear NJ Devils, 100% won’t cut it for tomorrow night. I wanna see you give at least 103%. Maybe even more. And don’t insult me by asking if 102% is okay. You should know better. Yes…even Wood. Passionate tongue kisses, NJCroMag

This team is carrying all the momentum right now, if they keep doing what they’ve been doing the past couple games they’re going to be alright. Play devils hockey for 60 minutes! Puckbuster
PK was asked, with a smirk, if he still thought the Devils can win in 6 trailing 1-0 game 3 and the Rangers up 2 games to zero. PK said they need to win one before I can answer or something like that. I wonder if he will be asked the same question today.
